How the system works
The battery provides power to start the engine and stabilises voltage. Once running, the alternator supplies electrical power and recharges the battery.
What we check
- Battery condition and capacity
- Cranking voltage and starter draw (where relevant)
- Alternator output and ripple
- Parasitic drain if the battery keeps going flat
- Battery management coding (where required)
Common symptoms
- Slow cranking / clicking
- Battery warning light
- Repeated flat battery
- Stop/start not working
- Electrical glitches
Tip
Modern vehicles may need the new battery registered/coded. We can advise based on your vehicle.
